My Red Sea Max 250 Reef
My Red Sea Max 250 Reef

10 most important factors to consider when setting up a reef tank

1. Size: nano reef? bigger tank? Bigger size means larger investment, but higher chances of success. Lower than 120 liters is considered Nano Reef, and your spending will be obviously lower than with a larger tank. I suggest to start with a Nano Reef, and later on, if you find this hobby interesting enough for you (No doubt) then you can take a step forward.

2. Tank: I recommend to start with all-in-one system, like the red sea max 130. It has almost everything you need for a smooth start, just add cooling device like a chiller or fan-based ventilation system. A complete system will provide you an elegant looking tank, Complete hidden water treatment center, and no worries about extra spending on equipment.
